LES FILMS VELVET is a Production society, based in Paris, founded in 2006 by Frederic JOUVE and Marie LECOQ. The company’s editorial line reflects the ambition to produce quality films through a diversity of genres, with strong and current topics. Such as GOOD LUCK ALGERIA by Farid Bentoumi and A VIOLENT LIFE by Thierry de Peretti. Daring projects : PLANETARIUM and AN EASY GIRL by Rebecca Zlotowski. Not to mention comedies like LET THE GIRLS PLAY by Julien Hallard.
With six selections in the most prestigious festival : Cannes (CHANGE OF ADDRESS – Directors’ Fortnight 2006, BELLE EPINE - International Critics' Week 2010, GRAND CENTRAL - Official Competition Un Certain Regard 2013, WILLY 1er – ACID (Association for Independent Cinema and its Distribution) 2016, A VIOLENT LIFE – International Critics' Week 2017, AN EASY GIRL – Directors’ Fortnight 2019), and several times in Category A festivals (Mostra in Venice, Toronto…). Two films were also part of comedy festival's selection at L’Alpe d’Huez Film Festival (GOOD LUCK ALGERIA by Farid Bentoumi and LET THE GIRLS PLAY by Julien Hallard).
